Port of Davisville | Quonset Development Corporation (landside tour)
$50 EB | $75 ADV | $100 ONS
2.0 PDHs
(ticket required)
Bus tour of Port of Davisville (Quonset Development Corporation). Tour will feature the port’s recent and ongoing infrastructure upgrades to three piers, upland intermodal facility, roadways, and gates. The improvements are a key component of Quonset’s $234 million Port of Davisville Master Plan, an initiative to modernize infrastructure originally built by the U.S. Navy in the 1940s and 1950s. As one of the top 10 auto importers in North America and Rhode Island’s only public port, Davisville supports more than 1,600 jobs and generates $374 million annually in economic output. The port’s growing role in the offshore wind industry further highlights its economic significance to the state. Tour participants are expected to see roll-on roll-off and offshore wind crew transfer operations.
Following an overview briefing on the port, attendees will travel through the port by bus. There will be several opportunities to disembark and view pieces of the terminal up close.
